If you have never been on a P&O cruise before do yourself a favour and go. Our cruise was for 7 days and it was non stop entertainment every day.
Everything was so organized right from the start. We were met at Roma Street train station and shuttled to the ship. After a quick outwards customs clearance we boarded the ship for the time of our lives.
I was pleasantly surprised by the size of our 4 berth cabin, heaps of room, comfortable beds and a large ensuite. No porthole but as it turned out we didn't want the demon sun waking us of a morning so it was a blessing that we didn't have one.
Every morning we were woken (by request) by the cabin boy and served coffee and crossoints. Your wrong if you are thinking that was breakfast. That was just to get us started of a morning. After getting dressed it was down to the dining room for a full breakfast....bacon, eggs, you name it we ate it. In fact all meals were 5 courses, as much as you wanted, well presented and excellent quality.
We stopped at three ports during our cruise, Nomea in New Caledonia, Lifou in
the Loyalty Islands and finally Vila in Vanuatu. Whilst it was nice to have
shore excursions and to see a little of the ports the main attractions were on
board the ship.

Noumea - One of the ports that we berthed at.
Entertainment was first class with shows every evening timed to coincide with the conclusion of dinner. These shows normally finished about 11pm which left us a few hours to enjoy the party atmosphere in the bars before retiring in the wee small hours. Not sure if we could have survived much longer although an extra few days would have been nice.
One particular aspect of the cruise that we both enjoyed was meeting the fellow passengers and even on the last night we were still meeting people for the first time.
Is there a next P&O cruise? Definitely......we can't wait to do it all
again. It's just a matter of trying to fit everything in.
