Sea Probe11 off the Gold Coast - 07 July 2004
Janette & I spent the day out from the Gold Coast fishing on a the charter boat "Sea Probe 11 ". A fantastic birthday present, thanks Honey. We nearly came unstuck though as Jan had told her boss she was off sick that day. Only problem was when we arrived back in port as the TV cameras caught us and our catch for the nightly news report.
Patau South (North Island) New Zealand - 03 January 2005
During our first trip to NZd we were very fortunate to spend an afternoon out fishing at Patau South with Margaret's neighbour, Peter. Jan didn't really want to come along but decided to just to make up the numbers. Peter gave her the oldest rod to use as she was technically a "non fisherman" Unfortunately she showed us boys up by catching the biggest fish on the day.

It was a quiet Sunday morning in March that Dean called and asked if we would like to go out fishing. Never to turn down an opportunity to get out on the water we quickly packed some towels and headed off to the Coast. A short time later we were trolling off the Gold Coast and I hooked and landed my first Marlin. Thanks Dean, a day that I will remember for quite some time.
