Nicky's Handlebar - 41 Rat-U Road Patong
Nicky's Handlebar is a great family orientated bar at the Northern end of Rat-u Road. Extensive menu at very reasonable prices, cold beers and great memorabilia. You will find the staff here very friendly and welcoming.
Nicky also runs Harley Davidson tours and has an impressive stable of over 30 Harleys to choose from. Details of the t0urs can be found on his website here.
Nicky is currently constructing a hotel at the rear
of his bar and is expected to be completed
by Christmas 2009. The rooms are decorated in true Biker fashion
and include aircon, LCD TV and fridge.. Ceiling and bathrooms are
lined with mini orb iron, wild paint schemes and biker memorabilia.
When we visited construction was well under way, with the first room
nearly completed and the swimming pool just needing a few finishing touches.

Capannina Restaurant - Soi Option 1, South End of Kata Beach
Capannina's is located at the south end of Kata. If coming from Club Med or Kata centre turn down the second to last soi on the left (east) side. You’ll find Capannina at the end of the Soi on the left between the Buffalo Steak House and Phuket Kata Resort.
The portion sizes here are very generous, whether you order a pizza or a homemade pasta or ravioli dish. The food, service and atmosphere here were all first class. If you like a glass of wine or two you can purchase by the glass or bottle, all stored behind a glass fr0nted climate controlled cellar.
Don's Cafe - Soi Saiyuan, Moo 7, Rawai
We
made 2 visits to Don's while in Phuket. Our first night was a
visit with Richard and Megumi (see Saturday night BBQ page) for an all
you can eat BBQ, cost 199 baht. We enjoyed the food so much that
on a subsequent visit to Rawai we called in for lunch.
I had Don's famous ribs, with the freshest salad ever served in Asia. It was a generous serve and absolutely mouth watering. Jan had a massaman curry and rice which also didn't disappoint. Try a refreshing fruit shake to accompany your meal or you might like to try the litre serves of margaritas :)
