Kek
Lok Se Temple: The Buddhist temple
of Kek Lok Si is situated in Air Itam, a suburb of Georgetown. Building
commenced in 1890 and still continues today. You can either get a local
bus from the Komtar or taxi.
Penang
Hill: Penang Hill, also known as
Bukit Bendera is 830 meters high and it's much cooler than in the city below.
The funicular at the Air Itam station takes you to the top and departs every 30
minutes from 6:30am.
Bukit
Merah:
Bukit Merah's Orang Utan island serves as a breeding sanctuary
as well as conservation, research and education centre. Located about 90
minutes by car from Penang or 3 hrs from Kuala Lumpur.

Towers: They were the world's tallest buildings from 1998 to
2004,
however, the towers are still the
tallest twin buildings in the world. Free
tickets to the crosswalk are issue of a morning for rides later that day.
Batu
Caves: Batu Caves are a limestone hill located 13Klms North of
KL. The caves are one of the most popular
Hindu shrines outside
India, and is the focal point of the Hindu
festival
Thaipusam which attracts over 1.5 million
pilgrims yearly.
